It's funny. We look at other people, strangers, and see them as people that have it together. We see confident people when we look at strangers. If you are out there doing your thing next to someone else, you might look over and think they have got it. They have something you don't or know something different.
Everybody thinks everybody else knows what they're doing. Funny thing is, you're part of that "everybody else" to someone else. Ever think of that?
Maybe you see someone who looks just as skilled as you, but is out there doing what you want to do. Think about this: They're just like you, but at some point stopped worrying about everybody else and took a risk.
When I saw this image, I felt like I was hit, hard. It was embarrassing and powerful. I felt so weak to it's truth.
I am guilty of some serious daydreaming. I'll sit around, doing nothing, accomplishing nothing, and I'll pretend that I'm at the end goal of various paths I want to take. However, I rarely do anything about getting there in real life so that I don't have to daydream about it.
That was my secret. Now, do me a solid and share one of yours. Are you one of those people who look at others thinking they somehow know what they're doing more so than you? Do you think more about what you want to do rather than do something about getting there? Maybe you daydream a lot like I do.
Whatever the case, let's think something different today. Let's do something different today.
You with me?
